Dr. Jinpeng Wang王金朋

Dr. Jinpeng Wang is a Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the School of Life Science, North China University of Science and Technology (NCST). He received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

His research primarily focuses on genomics, bioinformatics, and molecular biology. As a Chief Scientist in bioinformatics and genomics, Dr. Wang has collaborated with international research teams to decode the genomes of 31 economically important crops, including cotton and soybean. He has published over 80 SCI papers—with 34 as the first or corresponding author in prestigious journals such as Nature Plants and Molecular Biology and Evolution—garnering over 6,000 citations.

Dr. Wang has led multiple national and provincial research grants, including three from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Recognized with numerous accolades, he also holds prominent academic roles, including serving as an NSFC grant reviewer and on the Youth Editorial Board of Agriculture Communications.

王金朋,男,中国科学院植物研究所博士,教授,博士研究生导师。现就职于华北理工大学生命科学学院,主要从事基因组学、生物信息学、分子生物学研究。

作为生物信息学/基因组学研究首席科学家,联合多个国际研究团队,先后破译了棉花、大豆等31个经济作物的基因组信息。发表SCI学术论文80余篇,以第一和通讯作者在 Nature PlantsMolecular Biology and Evolution 等知名学术期刊发表论文34篇,他引6000余次。

主持国家自然科学基金3项,省自然科学基金2项;获河北省自然科学二等奖、唐山市科技进步二等奖。荣获河北省“三三三人才工程”学者、“燕赵英才”、唐山市“凤凰青年英才”等称号。担任中国生物工程学会专业委员会委员、河北省生理与分子生物学会理事、国家自然科学基金评审专家及多个国际学术期刊编委或审稿专家。
